Being a passionate traveler I never miss a chance to travel. During the last year of my college I wanted to make the best use of the summer vacations. So I decided to donate my vacations to the travel. With the limited number of holidays the choice was limited only to the places with the country and traveling to Agra was the best option.

Having a few bad travel experiences of the past I did everything to make to make sure that the travel is smooth this time, starting right from the things that I needed to carry with me to the necessary information that was required to reach the place.
Though a final destination was in my mind but some time at everyplace in the way playing in my mind and that is what I did exactly. The best thing that I did was I didn’t use the transport facilities that frequently but tried to cover much on foot to interact with the maximum number of people.
The importance of this travel is immense for me as I interacted with so many people from different regions for the time. I started from Kashmir-a traditional, conservative society to reach Jammu with a different mindset and beliefs.
Then I travelled through Punjab which showed great variations in terms both geographically as well as from the point of view of culture. Through Haryana with some similarity with Punjab, I entered Delhi to encounter the metropolitan beliefs of Delhiites and finally landed among the people (of Agra), who were a more mixture of all.
This travel played an important role in making me understand the intra-regional cultural variations in a multi-cultural country like India.
